I second the nomination of Crazy Like a Fox.
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to be "smart as a whip" to realize that children will love this clever book of similes. Leedy's illustrations are colorful and action-packed. Children can participate by guessing the simile at each turn of the page and by following Leedy's directions for creating their own simile stories.
SECOND. This book will interest kids of all ages and is a great introduction to similes. This book would be great for prompting whole class responses by allowing students to finish the line with their own simile. Great teaching tool.
